Who is Teaching?
I discovered my true passion late in life. After taking culinary classes for more than decade I realized that I love nothing more than cooking wonderful food with friends, except maybe eating wonderful food with friends, along with a glass or two of wine, that is.
Santa Fe, New Mexico where I have lived for some 20 years is a wonderful culinary community with fabulous restaurants; world-renowned chefs and three highly regarded culinary schools. I am particularly grateful for everything I have learned from Chef Danny Cohen, Chef Tanya Story, and Chef Johnnie Vollerton. Incidentally all the photos on this website were taken by Chef Danny Cohen.
I teach cooking classes in my home in Santa Fe. But in the summer I spend at much time as I can in our home in Washburn, Wisconsin. (I am originally from Bayfield County.) I love the idea of sharing my passion for cooking with those of you who love the Apostle Islands Area as much as I do. Cooking together, I have discovered, is a wonderful way to make new friends and deepen old friendships. Please join me.
I make my living as an attorney in Santa Fe. Culinary matters are my avocation. That is why I can offer these classes so inexpensively.
I also participate occasionally in Santa Fe in the “underground restaurant” scene. Last year I did an underground event featuring Catalonian food (from northern Spain) and we raised enough money to buy in-house water filters for about 25 homes in an impoverished Indian village.
I look forward to cooking with you.
